ScreamSonic Game Jam Day 5: Modeling/Rigging the Monster, Plus Environment Modeling

My first big sculpt! I worked off of the references I created from earlier, first starting with a high poly mesh and sculpting out all the details as necessary.

Next, I destructed the mesh to reduce the poly count for better use in unity, and rigged up the mesh with a full armature, albeit with a simple one as fancy animations with fully flexible fingers/toes/etc won't be necessary for this project. What was important though was setting up the IK on the legs, which was surprisingly easy despite them being digitigrade!


And with that, my monster has come to life, and is ready to be animated.

On top of that, I started modeling interior props, here's a low poly chair and table! It was important that despite being low poly they had a bit of fancy embellishment, so I added arches and slants on a lot of the geometry to make them more distinct.
