For this week, I decided to texture Aurora using Quixel Mixer. Here you can see my first attempt at it, with some highlights and texturing on the armor.
This was the texture I ended up settling with, with some baked lighting and detailing on the armor and fur. I think it does a much better job at capturing the detail and contour of the figure.
And here are a few animation tests! Nothing finalized or super detailed, just some basics to try out the rig.s
This one demonstrates the motion smear, showing it in full motion.
And finally, I just decided to experiment with texturing assets in Quixel Mixer! Nothing major, just some first attempts at trees and rocks, but it might be fun to have Aurora exist in an actual world instead of a grey void.
That's all for now! A bit more of a sparse week while adjusting to doing more things with Mixer, but still got something done at least.
